Tidung Island Deserted from Visitors on Election Day

Holiday of City Gubernatorial Election 2017 seems not increasing visitors number to Tidung Island, Seribu Islands. Even it is the one of the travel destination islands of Jakarta, but it seems deserted today.

From the data we got from TIdung Island Tourism Association since yesterday just 12 visitors. Moreover, they are not Jakartans

"There were only 12 visitors based on data we got from TIdung Island Tourism Association since yesterday. Moreover, they are not Jakartans," said Cecep Suryadi, Urban Village Head of Tidung Island, Wednesday (2/15).

Tourism in Seribu Islands Must Be Developed Seriously

Its downturn is more than 90 percents if compared to another national holiday that can reached to 4-5 thousands visitors. But this evening there is an information that 225 visitors are departing from Kaliadem Pier to Tidung Island.

"Indeed in the morning Regency Government suggested not to bring any visitors to the island, as well as taxi boat which cannot bring residents out of island for a while to prevent any mobilization in or out," he closed.

Meanwhile, related to election in Tidung Island Urban Village today in eight TPS, the voting is run conducive until the calculation process done.
